CWA Richmond Branch Celebration Morning Tea

16 May 2016

Member for Hawkesbury Dominic Perrottet MP joined members of the Country Women’s Association Richmond Branch over the weekend to share in celebrations to mark the completion of the CWA building project.

The not-for-profit organisation received $50,000 from the NSW Government through the Community Building Partnership Program in 2014.

“The Community Building Partnership Program can make a real difference to the Hawkesbury community and this project will deliver the much needed facility upgrades at the CWA building in Richmond.” Mr Perrottet said.

This joint venture project with the NSW Government, Hawkesbury City Council and CWA Richmond resulted in a brand new kitchen with two new microwaves, a dishwasher, new fridge, an island bench in the hall with two underbench ovens, a disabled toilet and shower, an indoor toilet and storage cupboards.

“Congratulations to President Jenny Griffith and members of CWA Richmond for their hard work and ongoing service to the community.” Mr Perrottet said. “It was my pleasure to celebrate with members of CWA and other community groups who share this premise over some tea and delicious homemade scones.”

The Baird Government will continue to support local, community-orientated groups, including providing financial assistance to enhance the wellbeing and unity of communities, such as Hawkesbury.
