New Electorate Office Opens in Hawkesbury

13 Apr 2016

Member for Hawkesbury Dominic Perrottet MP opened the doors to the new Hawkesbury electorate office in Richmond this week, with 100 members of the Hawkesbury community joining the MP to celebrate the launch on Monday 11 April.

The new office is located on the Western Sydney University Hawkesbury Campus in Richmond, with dedicated parking for constituents in the P4 carpark, and a community shuttle bus running every 10 minutes from Richmond Station, East Richmond Station and Richmond Marketplace, and stopping directly outside the office.

Mr Perrottet said the he looked forward to the exciting opportunities to meet and engage with Hawkesbury residents that the new office location would bring.

“This office is for the people of Hawkesbury. My team and I are here to work hard for you and represent your views, whether it’s by tackling local issues or representing your concerns in Parliament,” Mr Perrottet said.

The office takes its place among a number of community groups and organisations with offices also located on the campus, including Northwest Disability Services, Police Leadership Centre and the Anglicare Retirement Village.

“The University is a thriving hub in Hawkesbury, and it’s great to have the office here in the thick of it with the students and community organisations that call the campus home.”

“I’m grateful to Professor Barney Glover, Vice-Chancellor, and Dr Andy Marks, Assistance Vice-Chancellor at Western Sydney University, for making this possible, and I encourage the people of Hawkesbury to get in touch, and let me know how I can serve you better.”

In conjunction with the opening, Mr Perrottet launched a new smartphone app called “My Community Connect” to take his electorate office mobile. The app provides constituents with a new way to engage with the Hawkesbury MP, access important government services and find out more about community groups and local events.
